We've Got to Make a Change
Cassie chose to live in Urbana because she loved the small-town feel of this community, but since she moved here in 2002, there has been a shift.
We have more than 2,250 people living in poverty today (that's about 20% of our population which is nearly double what it was in the year 2000) and the current leadership won't acknowledge that this is a problem. At our Wages & Business Town Hall our team spoke about how to address the poverty rate.
